Certifications
Gas Certification (GAR)
Certification of gas appliances and components (boilers, burners, solenoid valves, regulators), laboratory testing and regulatory support.
Thanks to an agreement reached with a Notified Body operating in the global market, it will also be possible to obtain CE Type Certification according to Regulation (EU) 2016/426.
For over thirty years, European Quality Standard has been testing gas devices such as solenoid valves, pressure regulators, filters, air/gas flow regulators, burner controls, etc.
In 2024, we significantly expanded our testing capacity with a new purpose-designed facility.
The instrumentation used is subject to continuous calibration and falls within the measurement uncertainty limits required by the Standard.
Tests can be performed on devices compliant with the relevant Regulations.
This testing technology can also be applied to ball valves designed according to Standard EN 331.

Industrial Machinery
Machinery and safety components must meet the essential requirements for safety and health indicated in Annex I of the directive.
To certify the conformity of machinery and safety components with the provisions of the directive, the manufacturer or their authorized representative established in the Community must draw up, for each machine or each safety component, a declaration of conformity, and furthermore, only for machinery, must affix the CE marking.
EQS prepares the Technical File for CE marking and prepares the documentation for certification of machinery in Annex IV.
General Product Safety
Community legislation ensures a high and uniform level of protection of consumer health and safety. Products placed on the internal market are subject to general safety obligations. A product is safe when it presents no risk or only minimal risks (compatible with the use of the product) and acceptable in the context of a high level of protection of people’s health and safety.
A product is considered safe if it complies with the safety provisions laid down in European legislation or, in the absence of such provisions, if it complies with the specific national provisions of the Member State of marketing. If the product does not fall under any specific Community Directive or other Technical Standards, it is advisable to carry out a specific Risk Analysis with respect to the General Product Directive. EQS is the most suitable body for this type of activity because it can provide design consultancy, which is prohibited by law for Notified Bodies.
