Laboratory for Testing Gas Safety and Control Devices
For over thirty years, European Quality Standard has been testing gas devices such as solenoid valves, pressure regulators, filters, air/gas flow regulators, burner controls, and much more.
In 2024, we significantly expanded our testing capacity thanks to a new, specially designed facility built according to the EN 13611 Standard.
System Features
- Measurable air flow rate up to 550 m³/h at 15 bar
- Flow measurement system with Vortex technology
- Nominal diameters from 6 mm to 150 mm, extendable up to 250 mm upon request
- Adjustable test fluid and laboratory environment temperatures
- Air supply pipe dimensions compliant with flow meter criteria
Instrumentation and Calibration
All instrumentation used is subject to continuous calibration and falls within the measurement uncertainty limits required by the Standard. Tests can be performed on devices compliant with the relevant regulations. This testing technology can also be used on ball valves designed according to the EN 331 Standard.
Reference Standards
The entire system and the relative test pipes were manufactured according to the EN 13611 Standard. The laboratory operates in compliance with the following control standards:
- EN 88-1, EN 88-2, EN 88-3
- EN 161, EN 125, EN 257, EN 298
- EN 1106, EN 1643, EN 1854
- EN 12067-2, EN 16304, EN 16340
- EN 16678, EN 16830, EN 16898
- EN 126 (combination of control functions)
The generic reference standards are EN 13611 + EN 14459 (generic part).
CE Marking and Collaborations
Regarding CE Marking, where required — especially for the GAR Regulation — our laboratory collaborates with Intertek Italy (NB 2575).
