class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>RoHS Directive 2011\/65\/EU<\/h3><p>Directive 2011\/65\/EU (RoHS) regulates the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), with the objective of contributing to the protection of human health and the environment.<\/p><p>It also promotes safer and more sustainable waste recovery and disposal.<\/p><p>The currently applicable directive is 2011\/65\/EU, subsequently amended by Delegated Directive (EU) 2015\/863, which updated the list of restricted substances.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ca45000 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-parent\" class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Evolution of the RoHS Regulation<\/h3><p>Compared to the previous RoHS 1 (Directive 2002\/95\/EC), RoHS 2011\/65\/EU introduces an autonomous regulatory framework, with:<\/p><ul><li>defined scope of application<\/li><li>specific obligations<\/li><li>structured conformity procedures<\/li><\/ul><p>Over time, the scope of application has been extended to include, except for exclusions, all EEE listed in Annex I.<\/p><p>Category 11 (open scope) has also been introduced, relating to equipment not covered by the previous categories.<\/p><p> <\/p><h3>EEE Categories Regulated by RoHS<\/h3><ul><li>Large household appliances<\/li><li>Small household appliances<\/li><li>IT and telecommunications equipment<\/li><li>Consumer equipment<\/li><li>Lighting equipment<\/li><li>Electrical and electronic tools<\/li><li>Toys and leisure and sports equipment<\/li><li>Medical devices<\/li><li>Monitoring and control instruments (including industrial)<\/li><li>Automatic dispensers<\/li><li>Other EEE not covered by the previous categories<\/li><\/ul><h3>Restricted Substances<\/h3><ul><li>Lead (Pb): 0.1%<\/li><li>Mercury (Hg): 0.1%<\/li><li>Cadmium (Cd): 0.01%<\/li><li>Hexavalent chromium (Cr VI): 0.1%<\/li><li>Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB): 0.1%<\/li><li>Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE): 0.1%<\/li><li>Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP): 0.1%<\/li><li>Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP): 0.1%<\/li><li>Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): 0.1%<\/li><li>Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP): 0.1%<\/li><\/ul><h3>Update of Substances (Directive 2015\/863)<\/h3><p>The substances DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP were introduced by Delegated Directive (EU) 2015\/863.<\/p><p>The restrictions apply:<\/p><ul><li>from 22 July 2019 for EEE in general<\/li><li>from 22 July 2021 for medical devices and monitoring and control instruments (including industrial)<\/li><\/ul><p>Regulatory exclusions and exemptions may apply.<\/p><p> <\/p><h3>Technical Documentation<\/h3><p>For RoHS conformity, the main reference is standard EN IEC 63000 \u2013 Technical documentation for the assessment of electrical and electronic products.<\/p><p>This standard has replaced the previous EN 50581.<\/p><p> <\/p><h3>Final Note<\/h3><p>RoHS conformity must be assessed on a case-by-case basis, considering the type of product, the category to which it belongs, any exclusions from the scope of application and possible exemptions provided for in Annexes III and IV.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eb98df6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"eb98df6\"
